The “CASALE DI POLLINE” is located a short drive from Rome, yet centuries away. Its stunning location offers beautiful and panoramic views of Lake Bracciano, offering images that, during sunsets are unforgettable. The extensive rural grounds are timeless surrounded by farmland, woods and pastures. The picturesque farmhouse was built in the 1700’s on a countryside farm which extends from Lake Bracciano to Lake Martignano. Attached to the Casale is a consecrated chapel dedicated to the Madonna del SS Rosario. The impressive interior, living room with fireplace and large window offer a panoramic view of the village Anguillara Sabazia, countryside and farmlands. The reception area will accommodate 150 people for dinners and social events from May to November. The “Casale di Polline” is the ideal location for any type of social event: weddings, reunions, private and corporate events, business meetings, cultural, sporting events and filming locations.
The “Casale di Polline” is an integral part of the active 650 acre farm “Polline” which was bought in 1906 by Pietro Di Domenico, grandfather of the current owners, as part of the property called “Polline, Stracciacappe and St. Catherine.” In the “Analysis Antiques of the Charter of the outskirts of Rome” by Antonio Nibby, distinguished scholar of the topography of the Roman countryside, it is reported that in the Leon’s papal edict of Leo IX of 1053, Polline is confirmed in the property to the Vatican Basilica. In this regard the author argues that “the name Polline can result from a temple of Apollo, which is well would agree to the location of the house, situated on a high hill, overlooking Lake Bracciano.” See. Volume III, 118 ed. II 1849. At the request of Pietro Di Domenico the chapel dedicated to Virgin Mary of the Holy Rosary, was built; attached to the house and dependent Regina Pacis Parish of Bracciano Lake. The Casale until the 60s, when many families were living in the company, hosted the State Elementary School for the children of those working in the property and lived in the area.
